About this conversion
PDF is the standard document format. TXT is plain text. Converting .pdf to .txt makes sense when you need a file that contains only the words, with no layout, so it opens in anything.
Drop your .pdf file below, check that TXT is selected and press Convert. The file is processed on our server, sent straight back to you and deleted right after; we never keep the contents.
Questions
Is converting PDF to TXT free?
Yes. Guests get 3 free conversions a day and a free account gets 6 a day; paid plans have large monthly allowances.
Are my files kept?
No. Files are deleted right after the conversion. Only metadata such as the file name and size is kept in your history if you are signed in.
Will quality change when I convert PDF to TXT?
TXT contains only the words, with no layout, so it opens in anything. The content is preserved.
